Julie Suddeth, MA, LCMHC

She works with clients from ages 13 through adults. She specializes in working with children who have experienced trauma as well as working with any age clients with depression, anxiety and PTSD. Her therapy is client-centered, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral therapy. She believes the most important parts of therapy are being non-judgmental and having a strong rapport and trusting relationship with her clients. While not working, Julie enjoys being with her family, gardening and being outside.

Ashlan Vincent, MA, LCMHC

Ashlan Vincent graduated from North Carolina State University with her Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Women & Gender Studies, and University of North Carolina at Charlotte with her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2021. Ashlan is a North Carolina board-certified Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and is affiliated with the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). Ashlan has experience working with children, teenagers, and adults in a private practice setting. She has worked with individuals managing complex trauma, depression, anxiety, mood/behavioral issues, self-harm, and chronic suicidal thoughts. She also has a special interest in working with maternal mental health. Ashlan has utilized diverse techniques that include expressive arts, narrative, non-directive and directive play, cognitive-behavioral, and trauma-focused therapy. As a therapist she aligns with the existential-humanistic school of thought, which focuses on helping clients find meaning in their lives as well as separating “problem behaviors” from the self. Ashlan works with children as young as 4 years old up to older adulthood. Young children, ranging from 4-10 depending on their personal developmental level and needs in therapy, are encouraged to participate in play therapy where the child can fully express themselves in the language that is most familiar to them. She also brings in a deep understanding of how gender, sexuality, race, and societal pressures play a part in how individuals interact with their broader society. She believes that in order to understand the person, you have to understand the context they are in. In this way, much of her work with clients integrates multiple schools of thought to find the best fit for that individual and their specific treatment goals.
